Selling a beauty salon in Saudi ArabiaList it for serious buyers.

Many people search for a “salon for sale” in Riyadh, Khobar and Dammam. If you have a salon to sell, this page sets out what a buyer asks, what to prepare, and how the shop passes to them.

What buyers ask, what to prepare, and how the shop changes hands. Official sources at the end.

What buyers ask

  • Monthly revenue, and the most requested services.
  • Staff: how many, their experience and pay, and whether they'll stay after the sale.
  • Clients: repeat bookings, and the social media accounts and whether they come with the shop.
  • Equipment and furniture: chairs and devices, and their condition.
  • The lease and the time remaining on it.
  • Staff health certificates: whether they're valid.

Prepare these before you list

  • The commercial registration and municipal licence.
  • The lease.
  • Point-of-sale or bank statements for the last 12 months.
  • A list of staff with their contracts and health certificates.
  • A list of equipment and furniture.
  • The social media accounts and the booking system in use.

How does the salon pass to the buyer?

  • Commercial registration: a sole proprietorship uses the “transfer of a registration” service on the Saudi Business Center: 500 , within 72 hours.
  • Municipal licence: transferred through Balady for the same location; it can't move to another one.
  • Employees: their contracts stay in force after the change of owner, under Article 18 of the Labour Law.
  • Lease: settled with the landlord before the deal.

How selling works on Mumtalakat

  1. Create your business's listing; you can make it anonymous, hiding its name and brand until the buyer signs the NDA.
  2. Identity-verified buyers see the details after the NDA, and neither of you sees the other's number or email.
  3. You negotiate and meet inside the platform, and sign the contract online.
  4. The amount is held at Dhamen and released only after ownership transfers.

Common questions

Do the social media accounts come with the salon?

They're not part of the registration or licence, so agree on them explicitly in the contract: the accounts, how to access them, and the booking number, handed over on the day.

Will customers or neighbours know I'm selling?

You can make it an anonymous listing that hides its name, brand and photos; only a verified buyer sees the details, after the NDA.

How does the shop pass to the buyer?

By transferring the commercial registration and the municipal licence; employees' contracts continue, and the lease is settled with the landlord. The steps are in the shop-transfer guide.

When do I get paid?

The buyer deposits the amount at Dhamen, and it's released to you after ownership transfers.
